Saturday saw me painting at Ogmore Beach, South Wales with fellow artist Rachel Howells. The fabulous Glamorgan Heritage coastline behind us was hidden by mist when we started so we turned our backs on it and the wind, and painted the opposite view towards Porthcawl.
Ogmore beach is not as dramatic as the cliffs at Southerndown but still has limestone pavements and rocks slanting at odd angles. Someone had constructed a wooden arch on the beach ... maybe Andy Goldsworthy.
