No prizes for guessing which one is mine from this outing with friends to paint at Priory Wood at Portbury, North Somerset. I think years of working as a painting conservator with small brushes on small Old Master paintings has influenced me. Plus you can fit lots of small paintings into your home.
Lots of puzzling from garden visitors to Holt farm about this pink flowering tree. What was it?. Forest pansy ? The Judas tree, Cercis? All correct and beautiful to paint. In the background is the white flowers of the crab apple walkway, which I painted twice in the two previous weeks but now there is green spurge and allium pompoms and the pink flowering tree.
