 Red Cutlery. Carolyn Lamb 17 June 2020. watercolour pencils. My pots and pans are not interesting enough so i did my red cutlery on the red formica table. Stephen was being painted live online by Tom Mead and viewers could watch them chatting and Tom's portrait evolve, plus do one's own version. This is my sketch from my first Facebook Live portrait painting session via Sky TV's Portrait Artist of the Week show. There is also a tiny sketch of Tai-Shan Schierenberg when he appeared on screen for a few moments.  Greek disco on Paxos, circa 350 - 300 B.C. C. Lamb. 8 Jun 2020. Pencil and watercolour. This weeks Stuck at Home challenge was to take a Classical Greek, Roman or Egyptian statue and set it in time and place. So using Classical Sculpture by George Hanfmann, London,1967 I found two Greek bronzes which could be fitted together as dancers at an outdoor disco. The background is from Monodendri beach, Paxos. Praying Boy, Greece, c 300 B.C. Staatcliches Museum, Berlin and Fleeing Girl, 350.B.C. Museo Archaeologico, Florence.

These had to be 'broken in' so rarely used, and kept in the hope they would fit one day. |
