Sunflowers wiith Jersey Tiger moth, apple and raku bowl. Carolyn Lamb 11 Aug 2020. Watercolour. Taking inspiration from the Sound of Music song, this week we had to think of a few of our favourite things. I started with the Jersey tiger moth caught on our window, because I like to paint from nature. Then cheery sunflowers as I Iike flowers and yellow is my favourite colour. I like fruit and there was a windfall apple. And my favourite bowl which has a great sculptural presence. It cost 40p in a Sheffield 'collectables' fair in 1985.

Ferme D' Orme. C . Lamb . Oil. 10x12". I was planning to finish a painting of Lakka Bay on Paxos that I did in 2018 for this challenge but it was not ready so instead I cheated with an oil from earlier this year. I translated the name into French so it would seem as if abroad in France but it is in fact Bertie at Elm Tree Farm, Portishead.
