Experiencing the natural world through art
Painted this hut with vista last weekend at Burgie House, near Forres, Morayshire, Scotland. Too cold for outdoors so this acrylic was done from my bedroom. Autumnal copper beech trees at the gate to Burgie Arboretum, looking north through the gap towards the sea. As you paint, more and more reveals itself - a tractor with haybales on the A96, the orange windsock at Kinloss airport, Findhorn Bay, the distant hills of Sutherland and on the second day a walker in a red coat appears.
